The Janzen Boys are plainly not that good at getting the word out…

John Janzen here. As a band we started playing together in 2014, when Mick was 9, and Simon was 13.

But in 9 years, we have never sent out an email. That’s probably because I was running things. But it appears that those days are over. Simon is 22 now, and Mick just turned 18 and they have made it clear that they intend to be considerably more serious about this music-making thing than we have been previously.

We have been in the studio recording new music, and now it is time to start putting it out there. So Mick put his university education on pause to figure out how to do this music thing well, and the very first thing was email! Apparently, email is the gold standard, because when we put a message out on social media, not everyone who follows us sees it. We are at the mercy of their algorithms.

Not so with email. However, in a decade of performing, WE HAVE NEVER SENT A SINGLE EMAIL. So that needs to change.

That’s why we have started sending out the insider information out in a weekly email, that way we can know everyone we want to get the message to got it. You can ignore it, but at least we know you got it!

So to appreciate that people who are interested enough to sign up, we will work harder to make sure we make it worth your while. Thus far we have only worked our one insider freebie, but there will be more!

And this time there will be no waiting for 10 years before we send another email 😬
