During the summer, we had the idea to record some of our favourite childhood stories that Dad would read to us at bedtime.

One of the most memorable of these was reading through the whole collection of Grimms' Fairy Tales. Well… we wanted to… but at the time me and the younger, mysterious third Janzen brother were 13, and 7, and we quickly found out how gruesome some of these stories got.

It's safe to say we only made it about halfway through the collection.

Then we thought about our knowledge of fairy tales, and we realized that we don't actually know the original stories of famous fairy tales! Even the classic ones like Cinderella, we only know the modern, Disney adaptations that often cut so much of the original stories.

So, in honour of Halloween, we’ve released a 4 part audiobook series of our favourite Grimms' Fairy Tales' which you can get by signing up for our email list. We read two of the classics that everyone knows and loves, and two of the more gruesome, twisted, and Halloween-infused stories for old time sake (now that we're all grown up and can handle them!).
