We have playing together as a family folk trio since 2014, but the audience blew up in 2023, mostly thanks to Mick turning 18 and focusing his university marketing studies on internet music marketing. In the space of a year we went from completely unknown to having tens of thousands of listeners on Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify.

The jump in audience led to invitations for concerts and festivals all over North America, so we decided in May of this year to quit jobs and schools to do music full-time (pursuing risky musical dreams is what you are supposed to do in your late 40s, right? 😬). We have toured extensively since then, from the West Coast to Montreal. For touring, the East Coast is up next, and an audience-building focus on Europe begins this month.

Sales of physical product exceeded 10,000 units in the past year which has made for a very engaged fan-base.

The three songs whose virality initially drove a great deal of the growth are featured below.

The viral success of our songs came about primarily because of extensive testing via Meta ads, which was harsh but honest in revealing which songs had mass appeal, and which ones should be “deep cuts.”

An advantage in working with us would be that because of our “emerging artist” status, we are a “one-stop-shop” – we are sole owners of both 100% of the master and 100% of the publishing.

The Parting Glass is a public domain traditional Irish song for saying goodbye

Which Road Takes Me Home us our upbeat country rocker. It performed the best out of all of our songs when featured in Meta ads.

One For The Road was the initial driver of the band’s success, outperforming everything in the early months. It was written by a friend of ours, a Swede living in Denmark that we met in Japan 🤔, who rarely performs anymore

A repeated comment on our socials is how people prefer this live-off-the-floor version over the studio version found on streaming sites. So we remastered it:

And finally, a demo of one that is to come.

This one is Mick’s – only the second song he has written – and when FACTOR, Canada’s national music funder heard it, they gave us a $10,000 grant to produce it.

This is a rough version, but should give a good idea of what’s ahead.
